About
A page torn from the city itself
Kurk began with a question: what would interactive fiction look like if it trusted its readers? Not with tutorials and timers, but with consequences. The answer became a neogothic city, nineteen chapters deep, where every choice has a cost and the story keeps the receipts.
We wanted a book you could lose an argument with.
The vision
Kurk: Dark Fantasy RPG is gothic interactive fiction in the tradition of 80 Days: reading first, choices always, and light turn-based combat where the stakes demand it. Twenty-six characters track how you treat them. Three endings, and a hidden fourth, wait at the end of four acts, and none of them offers an easy answer.
The dread is psychological, not splattered. The city of Kurk is a character: it remembers slights, rewards patience, and never forgot what was done to it. Our job is to make sure it never forgets what you do to it either.
App League
Kurk Chronicles is made by App League, a small independent studio. We build finished stories and sell them once. No subscription, no gems, no energy meters. Act 1 is free in full because we think the first act of a novel should be, and one lifetime purchase unlocks the rest.
The game ships in English and French, works fully offline, and launches on iOS and Android.
